When you start playing Fortnite, the map is covered in a gray color which you can restore in full glory by discovering the named locations. While the last task isn't very challenging, discovering the landmarks in those locations is a much more difficult thing to manage.

How to reveal named locations and landmarks in Fortnite season 4?

Whenever a new named location pops up on the map it is completely grayed out, making it easy for you to just travel to the question mark on the map and restore the full color to that location. Occasionally there might even occur a small gray spot that indicates a landmark for you to discover from time to time. Players that are new to Fortnite however will find their map completely grayed out at the start of the game. Discovering a named location or landmark will grant players with a small amount of XP. By discovering every named location and all of the major landmarks players will restore the map in its full glory and color, be it on foot or by landing at that spot diving down from the battle bus.
